Bio:
Raised in Lourdes primarily by her mother as her father was often at work on the docks importing silk from India. He met many exotic ladies in his time and had many affairs, Claire knew that her husband was cheating on her and perhaps this led to her early grave. Claire worked hard to raise her daughter but her husband’s gambling debts were too much for the family to cope with. Newly pregnant with her second child Claire was forced to make the heart breaking decision to sell her daughter in order to keep their house and food on the table.

Nevaeh never knew she had a brother and was sent into service as a servant however was treated as almost a slave. It was fortunate she was just too young at nine years old to be used in the abusive sex trade and passed hands many times across the years. In total she had ten masters not all of whom were decent to her.

It was during her term of her seventh master when disaster struck. Her master attempted to rape her and would have succeeded if Nevaeh hadn’t screamed loud enough for her mistress to burst in upon the scene. Nevaeh was sold very quickly after that in dismal despair. She eventually came to the fortunate household of Godfrey Pendragon, working as a scullery maid however her flowering beauty and virginity attracted the man. He never acted upon his desires however he was extremely protective of Nevaeh and when it was decided the family would move to London Nevaeh was of course taken with them.

Nevaeh was promoted to head cook and earned more money and freedoms. During her time in London she meets a young man named Felix Knights who was sickly in the street. She took him home and nursed his fever, bathing his sweating form. She treated him with love and kindness and he was love struck from that moment onwards.

They kept in strong contact and soon decided to marry. Felix went to Godfrey Pendragon to request the hand of Nevaeh. Godfrey was heart broken- he loved Nevaeh more than his own wife and was put into a terrible situation of having to let Nevaeh go. He spoke to Nevaeh and she promised to remain in his service after being wed so he agreed to let her go purely because he wanted her happiness. However he remains jealous and ready to move in as soon as Felix is absent.

Godfrey checks up on Nevaeh’s family history and discovers that she has a now orphaned younger brother! He sends for the youth and employs him in his London household. Jean-Luc can’t speak a word of English but Godfrey helps him out of his love for Nevaeh.

Currently Jean-Luc’s English is extremely limited but he learns from Godfrey that he has a sister and one day slips away from duty to go and look for her. He’s heard about Felix from Godfrey’s constant complaining about him.

Jean-Luc wants to look for Nevaeh but has no idea where she is and he can’t ask Arthur because he’s so jealous so Jean-Luc asks Godfrey’s wife. Madeleine wants to get Neaveh out of Godfrey’s life and looks up where Nevaeh and Felix are currently living. She then sends Jean-Luc on his way. He comes to Tite Street but in his fright forgets his English and stutters incoherent jabber but asks for Nevaeh.

Meanwhile the Blackstone family have heavy debt lingering over their heads from Jean-Luc Seniors’ gambling problem. This led Stephan Wiserfowl to chase up the family and going to the eldest living Blackstone he finds newly wed Nevaeh Knights nee Blackstone. She can’t afford to pay with the little money she owns and nor can Felix chip in. Jean-Luc is too scared to ask Godfrey for money and seems a little stuck until Wiserfowl offers an alternative, looking for a new assistant (his last assistant, Leonel Renfield, having been murdered) he offers to take on Jean-Luc as his apprentice. Stephan doesn’t speak French but that helps Jean-Luc pick up English very quickly even if it is accented with Romanian dialect.

Felix finally publishes a book of poetry and comes into good profit, he and Nevaeh buy a house together and move in with the Knights’ family Sphynx, Opium. Felix gets a new job as a mute in the undertaker’s service whilst Nevaeh is too heavily pregnant to be working any more so stays at home and keeps an acquaintance with the Wilde family. Nevaeh births a son in mid July and they christen him Jason. Oscar and Constance are named God Father and God Mother.

Basic Biography
Adriana was born to her mother when she herself was only 19 and her father had left before she was born when her mother was heavily pregnant. She grew up without a real father figure and with a mother who had enough money for them both to survive. She quickly grew to hate her father for abandoning both her and her mother. Over time she found it hard to trust anyone at first in fear they would get up and leave her one day like her father had before she was born. Adriana has very few friends who had to put up with her temper and trust problems. She herself is self conscious about her looks due to one of her mothers many lovers hurtful commenting on her lack of looks compared to her mother and another who when drunk hit her with a broken piece of mirror which caused a scar from above her right eyebrow down to just below her right eye which impair the vision in her eye so badly so can no longer see completely out of her right eye.

This has caused her to always wear her hood up over her face to hide away from the world she doesn't feel she fits as she feels who could love her. Over time her mother who had been madly in love with Adriana's father grow bitter and hateful at her 'bastard' daughter even though she had married another lover to saved her family name who looked similar to her daughter but she was resentful of the reminder of the love she lost. When Adriana was 7 she decided she had enough of pretending she loved and cherished her child so she began treating Adriana like a slave and beating her if she put one toe out of line. In the end when Adriana was 15 she threw her out and left her quite a bit of money if she promised never to return. Adriana wondered the streets for days until she wondered into the Red Light District and made friends with a brothel owner who wanted her as one of his girls, she turned him down but remained friends with him.

She lived nowhere in particular just moved from place to place each night but didn't want to go to the workhouse. In the end the brothel owner offered her another job after some of his girls had gotten pregnant, she was asked to look after the children, she agreed and moved into the brothel living in the attic with the children as their 'mother' or nanny. Over time she realised even though she cared for the children greatly she never wanted any of her own after she had witnessed one of the girl having brutal and violent sex. This caused Adriana to fear Sex altogether. When Adriana turned 20 she meet a young man who saw past the scar and she fell in love with. However their relationship ended violently as when she refused to lay with him before marriage he beat her and injured herself confidence she parted ways with him when she was 22. On that day she took to wearing a hood over her day and having problems with trust mainly men. When she was 24 she meet Stephan Wiserfowl and her life was turned around.
